Big Ginger Sauce exists to make everyday food taste better! The company was launched in 2023 by me, Pete Bennison, a lifelong lover of spiced food, chilli heat and a deep appreciation of balanced, bold flavours.

Like many great food brands, it didn’t begin with a business plan — it began with one man, with a pan and a cheap gazebo! Frustrated by sauces that focused more on shock value than taste, I set out to create something different: hot sauces with true depth and complexity, designed to enhance your mealtimes!

What started in 2023 as small batches, local tastings and small markets quickly grew into sell-out weekends at the countries biggest food events, an avalanche of awards and thousands of bottles finding their way onto dinner tables across the UK.

We are super proud to have won a string of prestigious national and international awards since launching in 2023, including multiple Great Taste Stars. In 2025 we were the only UK chilli brand to be awarded a 3-Star award for our signature product "Naga Bomb"!

Big Ginger Sauce remains proudly independent, hands-on, and community-driven, with me still driving every part of the process — from production to pouring samples at events and chatting to customers face-to-face.
